This Return & Refund Policy applies to physical books purchased directly through our website.
30-Day Returns
We accept returns of unwanted or unused books within 30 days of the delivery date.
To qualify for a return, the book must:
Be in its original, unused condition
Be free from writing, highlighting, stains, tears, or other damage
Include its original packaging when reasonably available
Be purchased directly from our website
Personalized, signed, or specially prepared books may be final sale unless they arrive damaged or defective.
How to Request a Return
Starting a return is easy.
Please contact us at [customer service email] within 30 days of delivery and include:
Your name
Order number
Reason for the return
A photo of the book, if requested
We will provide return instructions and, when applicable, the return address.
Please do not send a return to an address listed on your shipping label unless we have confirmed that address for your return.
Return Shipping
For a return because you changed your mind or no longer want the book, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
We recommend using a trackable shipping method. We are not responsible for returns that are lost or damaged while being shipped back to us.
For books that arrive damaged, defective, or incorrectly shipped, we will provide an appropriate resolution, which may include a replacement or full refund. When appropriate, we may provide a prepaid return label or other return-shipping solution.
Damaged or Defective Books
We want your copy of Black Curl Power to arrive in excellent condition.
If your book arrives damaged, defective, or is not the book you ordered, please contact us within 7 days of delivery and include your order number and clear photos of the issue.
Depending on the circumstances, we may offer:
A replacement copy at no additional cost
A full refund
Another appropriate resolution agreed upon with the customer
Please do not discard a damaged or incorrect book until we have provided return instructions, if a return is required.
Refunds
Once an eligible returned book has been received and inspected, we will process the approved refund.
Approved refunds will generally be issued to the original payment method.
We aim to process refunds within 5–7 business days after receiving and approving the return. Your bank or payment provider may require additional time for the refund to appear in your account.
For an approved return of an unwanted book, the original standard shipping charge is non-refundable, unless otherwise required by applicable law or the return is due to our error, a defective product, or damage that occurred before delivery.
Exchanges
We do not require customers to exchange an unwanted book.
If you would prefer an exchange rather than a refund, contact us and we will do our best to accommodate your request, subject to inventory availability.
For damaged or defective books, we may provide a replacement at no additional cost.
Incorrect Address or Unclaimed Packages
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address at checkout.
If an order is returned to us because of an incorrect address, an incomplete address, refusal of delivery, or failure to claim the package, we will contact the customer regarding available options.
Additional shipping charges may apply if the customer requests that the order be shipped again.
Lost Packages
If your order shows as delivered but you cannot locate it, please contact us as soon as possible.
We may ask you to verify the shipping address and check with household members, neighbors, or the carrier. We will work with you to determine the appropriate next step.
If a package is confirmed lost in transit, we will work with the customer and shipping carrier to resolve the issue.
Sale & Promotional Items
Books purchased as part of a special promotion, bundle, discount, or promotional event may have additional return conditions. Any special return restrictions will be clearly stated before purchase.
Unless otherwise stated, the standard return policy applies.
Final Sale Items
Items identified as “Final Sale” at the time of purchase are not eligible for return or refund due to a change of mind.
Final-sale status does not eliminate applicable rights concerning products that arrive damaged, defective, incorrectly shipped, or otherwise do not conform to the purchase.
Order Cancellations
If you need to cancel an order, please contact us as soon as possible.
We will make reasonable efforts to cancel an order before it has shipped. Once an order has shipped, it may need to be handled under our standard return policy.
If we cannot fulfill an order within the shipping timeframe stated at purchase, we will provide the options required by applicable law, including cancellation and refund when applicable. Independent Merchant Shipping
Black Curl Power is shipped directly by an independent merchant. Orders are packaged and shipped individually rather than through a large retail fulfillment network.
Our shipping rates are designed to reflect the actual costs associated with:
USPS postage
Packaging and protective materials
Order preparation and handling
Shipping service selected
Package weight, dimensions, and destination
We do our best to keep shipping costs reasonable and transparent.
Standard Shipping
Our standard U.S. shipping option is generally based on USPS Ground Advantage® pricing.
USPS Ground Advantage currently provides an estimated 2–5 day delivery window and includes USPS Tracking. Actual delivery times may vary depending on destination, weather, postal volume, holidays, and other circumstances outside our control.
Shipping charges are calculated based on the current applicable USPS rate for the order, including the package's weight, dimensions, and destination.
Your exact shipping cost will be displayed at checkout before payment is completed.
USPS-Based Pricing
Because USPS postage rates can change, our shipping prices may change from time to time.
We use current USPS rates as the basis for calculating shipping charges rather than maintaining a permanently fixed shipping price.
USPS currently lists Ground Advantage retail pricing starting at $7.90, although the actual price for an individual order depends on package characteristics and destination.
We may use USPS commercial postage rates when available to us. Any savings we receive through commercial postage pricing may help us keep customer shipping costs competitive.
Express Shipping
Need your book sooner?
Express shipping is available for an additional fee when offered at checkout.
Express orders may be shipped using USPS Priority Mail Express® or another expedited service available for the destination and package.
USPS describes Priority Mail Express as a 1–3 day service, with a money-back guarantee subject to USPS terms and exceptions. Current USPS retail pricing starts at $35.65, although the actual rate depends on the package and destination.
Choosing express shipping does not guarantee same-day shipment. Orders still require normal processing and handling time before being transferred to the carrier.
If you have a specific deadline, please contact us before placing your order so we can determine whether the requested delivery timeframe is available.
Order Processing
Orders are generally prepared for shipment within 2–3 business days after the order is received.
Business days are Monday through Friday and do not include U.S. postal holidays.
Orders placed on weekends or holidays will generally begin processing on the next business day.
During book launches, special events, holidays, promotions, or periods of unusually high order volume, processing may take additional time.

Tracking

Shipping Address

Shipping Costs Are Separate From the Book Price

USPS periodically changes its postage rates and mailing standards. Our shipping charges may therefore be updated when USPS rates or our shipping costs change.
